It lies 12.9 kilometres from Leintz-Gatzaga, where totality lasted more than twice as long at 43 seconds, and 10.9 from Zegama, which reached 16 seconds but with a negative horizon margin of -2.1 degrees, which is why the model treats it as blocked. With 554 metres of average elevation, an 18.4 per cent historical clear-sky share and the highest mean cloud cover of the five at 57.8 per cent, Oñati closed the provincial table of observable municipalities on 42.4 points, the lowest score of the thirty-two entries in this batch.
