That second placed it seventh among the 225 Valladolid municipalities under the shadow, in a province whose maximum was 103 seconds and whose median was 87. Its elevated position helped: at 866 metres it is the sixteenth highest point of the 225, and from there it kept 8.2 degrees of headroom over the west-northwest terrain, with the Sun itself only eight degrees up at maximum. Totality ran between 20:29:23 and 20:31:04, after a partial phase of 55 minutes and 6 seconds; the Sun lingered another 49 and a half minutes above the horizon, until 21:20:40, without the partial phase ever closing before it set.
