The August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse in Almatret (Lleida)

Almatret's 71 seconds were the ceiling for the whole of Catalonia, and the figure gains weight against the median of its own province: the typical Lleida municipality inside the band had 43 seconds of totality, twenty-eight fewer. The shadow reached its most generous point of the north-eastern quadrant here, in the far south-west of the Segrià, at 353 metres above the bluffs falling towards the Ebro. Almatret also carried the widest horizon margin of Lleida's leading six, 5.1 degrees, which was no small matter with the Sun barely five degrees up: the model found no relief ahead capable of bringing sunset forward. The total phase ran from 20:29:15 to 20:30:26. On sky, its historical 55.8 % of clear days for the date, averaged from 1996 to 2025, was not the province's best, but nobody could take the seconds away. A mean maximum of 32.6 degrees for 12 August and a minimum of 19.7 round out a thoroughly dry-farming profile.
