In the provincial list sorted by duration, Valtorres sat right at the top with 103 seconds of totality, from 20:29:34 to 20:31:17. That position deserves a caveat: twenty-one Zaragoza municipalities reached exactly the same figure, so heading the list was a matter of alphabetical tie-breaking rather than any real advantage on the ground.

Where differences could actually be measured, Valtorres came off slightly worse than its neighbours. It is the lowest-lying of the leading group at 691 metres, and the one with the least clearance against the western terrain: 5.1 degrees, 157th of the 277 municipalities in the band, where Alhama de Aragón and Contamina were above 6.2. It also recorded the warmest mean low of the five, 17.4 degrees, consistent with its valley-floor position. Its 56.1% of clear skies between 1996 and 2025 placed it in the upper half of the province, and the whole added up to 84.3 index points.
