The August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse in Tulebras (Navarra)

Tulebras makes more sense when you look at who missed out. Fitero recorded exactly the same 86 seconds of totality and still failed to reach the Navarrese index top five: it stopped at 75.8 points, two tenths behind Cortes. The difference between them is not geometry but the sky record, 50.8% of clear years at Tulebras against 48.3% at Fitero, and that was enough to put one at the head of the province and leave the other out. Two tenths of an index point, decided by two and a half points of climate.

Tulebras is the northernmost of the five Ebro-lowland leaders and the first, alongside Ablitas, to enter totality, at 20:28:37, closing it at 20:30:03. It sits at 369 metres, counted on 5.4 degrees of slack over the western skyline and its clear-sky percentage is, curiously, the lowest of the five: second place in the provincial index with the weakest climatic bet of the group. Dusk arrived at 21:11:25, ahead of the eclipse's own ending.
