The August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse in Torrente de Cinca (Huesca)

Torrente de Cinca paid dearly for lying a few kilometres further east. Its 61 seconds of totality are nine fewer than Peñalba's and Valfarta's, a thirteen per cent drop over some thirty kilometres, and leave it sixth among the 57 Huesca municipalities inside the band, already outside the leading group. In longitude, 0.30 degrees east, it is the easternmost of the five Huesca entries in this archive, and there the edge of the band was starting to eat into the total phase.

Everything else was in its favour: 58.4 % open skies averaged between 1996 and 2025, the lowest rainfall indicator in the group at 26.2, and mean cloud cover of 27.2 %. The skyline was the tightest part, with 4.2 degrees of clearance and the Sun at 5. Totality from 20:29:06 to 20:30:07 and sunset at 21:02:21, the earliest of the five, with the partial phase not yet done. Final index: 69.7 points, fifth in the province.
