The August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse in Deltebre (Tarragona)

Four degrees. That was the Sun's altitude when the Moon covered it completely over Deltebre, the lowest figure in this whole archive alongside the provincial capital. On broken ground it would have been close to a sentence; on the Ebro delta, at sea level with the alluvial plain open to the west, it was more of an advantage, even if the clearance the model computed came to just 2.7 degrees.

Its 91 seconds of totality place it eighteenth among the 169 municipalities of the province inside the band, seven short of the maximum at La Sénia, and its historical 57.1 % of open sky ties with Amposta at the top of Tarragona. The index gave it 80.2 points, fifth place. The total eclipse ran from 20:29:54 to 20:31:25 and the Sun set at 20:59:14, the earliest of the six Tarragona municipalities gathered here, with the partial phase still unfinished. That 57.1 % is a thirty-year average, not a chronicle of the day.
