The ground matched the duration. With 8.3 degrees separating the disc from the west-northwest skyline, the town ranked 42nd in the province, tied with Quintanilla de la Mata, 8.3 kilometres up the road, and at 960 metres it was the highest of the Burgos entries collected here. The only column where it gave ground was climate: its 52.6% open-sky rate for the date across the thirty-year sample is the lowest of the five Ribera and Arlanza towns in this archive, and its 34.2% mean cloud cover the highest of them, though both figures are still well ahead of the provincial average.
